How to Add a New Reminder in This Feature

It is very easy to set any of your reminders in this feature. All you have to do is follow some simple steps given below:

Open the app: 1.

If you already have the Tech Assistant for Blind application on your phone, open it. As soon as the app is opened, its home screen interface will appear very clean, where every feature has been very well managed for TalkBack users. Here you will get a list of features of the application, from which My Reminder feature has to be selected.

Understand the main tabs: 2.

As soon as you select this feature, you will see mainly three tabs, which you can easily navigate by swiping:

• First Upcoming Tab: In this you can see all your upcoming reminders, which is selected by default.
• Second Completed Tab: This will contain the list of tasks which have been completed.
• Third Category Filter Current All Tab: This tab is already selected on ALL. By going here, you can choose personal, social or many other categories as per your need.

If you want to schedule a new reminder, swipe past the Category Filter Current: ALL tab, where you will find the [Add New Reminder] button. Have to click on this button.

Reminder Main Interface: 3.

As soon as you click on [Add New Reminder] button, the main interface of this feature will open in front of you. Here first of all you will find an edit box named Reminder Title: What do you want to be reminded about?. In this edit box, you have to write your important work which you want to complete on time, for example – "Important Project Client Meeting". After swiping, you will get the option of Scheduled For, which is selected on Current Day and Current Time. As soon as you click on it, from there you can select the day, hour, minute and AM or PM as per your choice in different dialogue boxes. After selection, Cancel and OK buttons will be found below; If everything is fine, then proceed by clicking OK button.

Here you will find the settings of Category and Priority. In the category, Personal is set in default, which you can change as per your convenience to Work or Study, and similarly in priority, Medium is set which you can make High. Along with this, you will get another edit box named Add any extra details, in this if you want to write any additional information about the reminder, then you can write it, otherwise leave it blank because it is completely optional.

On swiping further, you will get two special options – first 'One Hour Early Alert' and second 'Persistent Notification'. If you want to get the alert one hour before the scheduled time and there is no technical problem in the background, then turn on both these options. After this, if you are a Redmi or Xiaomi user, then check the "Important settings for Redmi & Xiaomi" setting once. Finally, save the reminder by clicking on [Save Reminder] button given at the bottom.

Reminder Alert: 4.

As soon as your reminder is saved, it will appear right next to the Category Filter Current: ALL tab. Now whenever the day and time set by you comes, at that very moment a lovely tune will play in the phone and a notification will come with the same name which you had set. If you can't see the phone at that time, this information will remain in your notification panel until you clear it from there yourself.
