Video Player

The Video Player is your dedicated screen for watching video content with fully accessible controls, and in practice it's the very same player behind the Media Player's Videos tab described in the previous section — so everything covered there about transport controls, adjustable skip intervals, playback speed, repeat and shuffle, and the Audio Description modes applies here too. Rather than a separate, standalone experience, think of the Video Player as the destination you land in the moment you choose a video, whether that's from your own device library through "Pick Video" and "Select Folder," from a file shared into Tech Assistant by another app, or from a recording you've just finished with the Screen Recorder.

Once a video is open, playback follows the same reliable, predictable layout throughout the app: a seek slider for scrubbing to any point, Previous and Next for moving through a playlist if you opened more than one file, rewind and fast-forward buttons set to a skip interval you control, and Play/Pause front and center. The "Describe What's Happening" panel is available here too, letting you ask directly what's visually occurring in the frame currently on screen — a genuinely useful safety net for any video without its own narration or audio description track.

If you find yourself reaching for video playback often, it's worth spending a few minutes in the Player Settings covered in the Media Player section — setting your preferred skip interval and default playback speed once means every video you open afterward, no matter where it came from, plays back exactly the way you like from the very first frame.
