General App Settings

General App Settings is where the small sensory details of the app live — the sounds and buzzes that confirm something happened, and the defaults that shape how playback and processing behave across the app. A Sound & Vibration section offers four independent switches: Processing Sound, which plays while a tool is working; Success Sound, confirming a job finished; Receive Sound, for incoming content or messages; and a general Vibration toggle for haptic feedback. Turning any of these off keeps the app functionally identical, just quieter or stiller, depending on your preference.

A Media Player Configuration section shapes the defaults for the app's shared Media Player, covered in an earlier chapter: whether the playing queue shows below the player, your default rewind and forward interval from 5 up to 60 seconds, your default playback speed from a quarter speed up to five times normal, repeat and shuffle modes, and whether the next track autoplays automatically when one finishes. A few settings here specifically shape video description behavior — whether Audio Description plays automatically where available, and whether it defaults to Hybrid mode, which pauses the video during a description for richer context, or Standard mode, which overlays shorter description clips without pausing.

A Diagnostics & Logs section, switched off by default, is worth knowing about even if you never need it: enabling "Critical Error & Crash Logging" reveals a "Show Logs" button that opens a record of any crashes or critical errors the app has encountered, each with an expandable technical stack trace. If you're ever in touch with support about something going wrong, turning this on beforehand and sharing what it captures can help diagnose the problem considerably faster. A "Clear Logs" option, behind a confirmation prompt, lets you wipe that history clean whenever you like.
